9/11

As we near the 10 year mark since September 11th, I am reminded of  where I was when I heard the news. I was getting dressed and ready to leave my house. I literally stopped what I was doing to watch the t.v. As I watch the news I feel a lump in my throat and then begin to cry. At this point, I was 16 days away from having my first child. I remember thinking " what am I bringing my child into".  I could NOT believe this was happening. I couldn't imagine what those who were actually there were feeling or the thoughts that were going through minds of those who were missing family members.  To this day I am still in shock.  The pictures and youtube videos of this day break my heart. My son has been asking a few questions about this day and I had little words to describe this horrific event. I found some videos on youtube ( prob not the best thing to do now that I look back) . I do realize that he is probably a little young to see some of this but I really thought if he could see it he would have a
greater respect for it. Turns out........ I was right. To all those who fight for my freedom THANK YOU SO MUCH! For all those who do not serve, remember those who do. Remember all those who lost their loved ones and all those who lost their life that day.  A special THANK YOU to my brother Jason Gobbell who serves in the Army. I love you so much :)
